IMPACT EVALUATION/ USAID BANGLADESH
DPI was awarded a subcontract under a BRIDGE task order to provide monitoring and evaluation and program design services to USAID Bangladesh for several existing and anticipated projects.
The objectives of the project were as follows:
- Develop and deliver a final impact evaluation of the Leaders of Influence Project, a 40$ million dollar project with the aim of educating Imam’s in Bangladesh about U.S. culture and history.
- Develop and deliver a full impact evaluation of the 18$ million USAID funded PROGATI anti-corruption project.
- Design and develop a rule of law strategy for the USAID mission that was used to guide the USAID mission in developing its justice sector programming for the next 5 years.
The evaluations and rule of law strategic analysis were conducted simultaneously with a team of seven expatriates. The team included former Ambassador Jim Michel as the Chief of Party; DPI President Natalija Stamenkovic served as the Deputy Chief of Party. Senior evaluation specialists included Krish Merschod, Bill Millsap and Steve Stroback. The team also included USAID Washington’s DCHA/DG Rule of Law Specialist Keith Crawford.
The team delivered the following report to the USAID Mission in Bangladesh with a follow-up presentation to the DCHA/DG office and the USAID Asia Bureau. A copy of the report can be (downloaded) here.
