Kosovo
Our USAID Justice Systems Strengthening Program (JSSP) has been partnering with Kosovo judicial institutions for the past four years and helping them develop in the direction of a modern, efficient, and transparent judiciary, easily accessible to all citizens of Kosovo. The Pristina Basic Court has been JSSP’s long-standing partner in all initiatives the project has piloted. Their contribution – and especially the dedication and commitment of the court’s president, judge Afërdita Bytyqi, the first female court president of the Basic Court of Pristina – was recently celebrated in a USAID stories feature.
