In the last 12 years, DPI has provided meaningful and sustainable capacity building to both government and civil society actors globally through various USAID projects. We have successfully managed portfolios in excess of 150 million dollars in government funding and overseen the simultaneous administration of several offices in diverse regions of the world. DPI’s primary area of technical expertise is in democracy and governance, and the rule of law. DPI incorporates a holistic approach that emphasizes the link between rule of law and democratic development, with particular attention to empowering poor and vulnerable groups. DPI also has a burgeoning research and analysis practice, providing USAID’s DRG Center with analytical expertise for strategic assessments and program design, research activities, surveys, training, and rapid response for political transitions. Members of our team have held key positions such as USAID Democracy Specialists, USAID Rule of Law Advisors, and as Directors of Democracy and Governance, and Rule of Law departments of current international development implementers.
