LACLEARN - Two Calls for Grants Published

 

Please note that the deadline for submission of concept notes under both calls has been updated and is now January 31, 2024!

The four-year LACLEARN activity  supports USAID’s programming at the LAC regional and mission levels through gender-informed analytical work and targeted analytical activities in transition environments that require rapid response programming support. Two Calls for Grants have been published under LACLEARN and local, regional, and international organizations are invited to submit concept notes by January 31, 2024. More details below in both English and Spanish.

Developing Partnership for Research and Policy - Call for Grants:

LACLEARN invites local, regional, and international organizations to submit concept notes for research grants focused on studying the democracy, human rights, and governance (DRG) implications of "tough-on-crime" (Mano Dura) policies in Central America. These grants aim to broaden the understanding of these policies beyond immediate security outcomes, exploring their impacts on democratic processes, human rights observance, and potential avenues for policy resilience and reform. Facilitating Dialogue Events - Call for Grants

LACLEARN invites local, regional, and international organizations to submit proposals for grants aimed at facilitating dialogue events. These events are intended to explore the impacts of "tough-on-crime" (Mano Dura) policies in Central America, focusing on their implications for democracy, human rights, inclusion, and governance (DRG). LACLEARN also seeks to amplify the perspectives of local voices and grassroots perceptions in dialogue with international stakeholders.
